Salina, UT – The road to the Calgary Stampede officially began this past weekend as four athletes secured their spots in the 2025 Rodeo lineup during a qualifying event in Salina, Utah.
Held in partnership with the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) Western Region Event, the competition awarded two coveted qualifications each in Barrel Racing and Breakaway Roping—two of the most dynamic events in rodeo.
Jeannette Etchebarne and Hayle Gibson Stillwell clinched their positions in the Barrel Racing category, while Timber Allenbrand and Jordi Edens earned top honours in Breakaway Roping. Their performances have guaranteed them a place in the prestigious Calgary Stampede Rodeo, set to run July 4–13.
This marks the first wave of competitors to qualify for the 2025 Stampede, with additional spots to be determined at the Calgary Stampede Ladies Breakaway Roping Qualifier on June 3-4, 2025, and the Calgary Stampede Barrel Racing Qualifier on June 10-11, 2025. Both of those events will be held at the Nutrien Centre at Stampede Park in Calgary.
