Calgary, AB — Stampede just got a little louder. Devon Cole, Calgary-born alt-pop sensation and rising star of feminist anthems, has been announced as the official opener for Shania Twain’s sold-out performance at the Scotiabank Saddledome on July 5th — part of the Calgary Stampede’s 2025 concert lineup.

Known for her viral remix of Blurred Lines and breakout single W.I.T.C.H (Woman in Total Control of Herself), Cole has quickly become one of Canada’s most compelling new voices. With millions of streams, CBC acclaim, and a growing global fanbase, she brings her sharp lyrical instincts, infectious energy, and unapologetic message to one of the biggest stages of her career — and in her hometown, no less.

“Devon is the perfect voice to kick off the night,” says Stampede Music Coordinator Claire Jamison. “She brings fire, intelligence, and empowerment — everything this show and this city stand for.”

Cole’s songwriting fuses pop hooks with purpose. Whether it’s rewriting pop culture narratives or turning heartbreak into fuel for self-love, she’s always got her finger on the pulse. A psychology grad turned Arista Records artist, her debut project Party For One proved she was more than just a viral moment — she’s a movement in the making.

From rodeo performances to the Saddledome stage, Devon Cole’s journey is a full-circle Stampede story. And come July 5th, Calgary will be singing every word right along with her.
