During the Calgary Stampede, the Wildhorse is proud to present The Rural Alberta Advantage. The Rural Alberta Advantage is a Toronto-based indie rock trio known for their raw, emotive sound and prairie-born storytelling. Since forming in 2005, the band—Nils Edenloff, Amy Cole, and Paul Banwatt—has released five critically acclaimed albums, earning a Polaris Music Prize nomination and a loyal following across Canada and beyond.

Blending folk-rock grit with pulsing drums and heartfelt lyrics, they deliver live shows as honest and haunting as the landscapes that inspire them.

The Wildhorse Saloon is your destination for the greatest Stampede Party in Calgary. Located in the heart of downtown, we’ve got daily concerts, western barbecue, Double Zero pizza, a non-stop dance floor, our own outdoor midway, and 20+ bars serving drinks that will knock your boots off!
